Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P) ®

Jura's revolutionary Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P) ® brings coffee brewing to a new level and enables exceptional barista-style coffee to be produced at any time.

When you select the drink that you want using the machine's easy to use display, it will take the right amount of water from the tank and heat it before it reaches the brewing unit containing the freshly ground coffee. Here, the P.E.P is used to obtain the maximum aroma from the grounds even when creating small specialty coffees such as espresso or ristretto.

It does this through pushing the water through the ground coffee in short pulses which optimises the extraction time. Thanks to the perfect pressure, the water is forced to flow around each granule of coffee, allowing the aroma to fully develop and as many of the aroma compounds to be captured as possible.

The freshly brewed coffee then flows into your cup with the perfect intensity of flavour and a distinct, silky layer of crema on the top.
